Minot G. DiLorenzo Sr., 61, of Harvey Rd., Londonderry, NH died Tuesday evening January 7, 2003 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH following a battle with lung cancer. Mr. DiLorenzo was born in Woburn, Ma, on February 28, 1941 the son of the late Dominic G. and Mary F. (Stygles) DiLorenzo. He had resided in Londonderry since 1971, formerly living in Woburn, Ma. He had worked for numerous electronics companies throughout New England over the past 40 years. He had more recently operated Minot’s Pit Stop ice cream in Londonderry. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gold panning and traveling. He was also a member of the NRA.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Barbara (Towne) DiLorenzo, Londonderry, one daughter, Julie L. O’Donnell, Manchester, NH, two sons, Philip M. DiLorenzo, Manchester, NH, Minot G. DiLorenzo Jr., Londonderry, five grandchildren, two sisters, Pamela McElroy, Raynham, Ma, Marie Marenghi, Woburn, Ma, one brother, Leo DiLorenzo, Woburn, Ma, also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. DiLorenzo was predeceased by his two brothers in 2001, Dominic “Sunny” DiLorenzo and John DiLorenzo.
Calling hours will be held on Friday January 10th from 2-4 and 6-9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Cremation will follow.
