Obituary

Mary E. (O’Connor) Thompson, 89, of Medway, died, Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of George E. Thompson who died in 1977.

Born in Boston on February 1, 1918, she was a daughter of the late George A. and Anna G. (Boyle) O’Connor. Mrs. Thompson graduated from South Boston High School and resided in Needham prior to moving to Medway 47 years ago.

Devoted to her family, Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker all of her life.

She is survived by; two sons, George E. Thompson of Lawrence and John E. Thompson and his wife, Janet L. of Franklinville, New Jersey and a daughter, Nancy A. Thompson of Medway.

She is also survived by; three grandchildren, Gregory J. Thompson and Julie L. Thompson, both of Franklinville and Jennifer L. Wood of Las Vegas, Nevada, a sister, Agnes G. Meyer of Quincy and a brother, Robert F. O’Connor of Waynesboro, Virginia.

She was a sister of the late Lillian A. Delahanty and George A. O’Connor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, November 17 at 10 a.m. from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 151 Village Street in Medway at 11 o’clock.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Medway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Medway Country Manor Activities Fund, 115 Holliston St., Medway, MA 02053.
