LOWELL—Violet N. (Lundberg) McAleer, 86 years old, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 5th, at Saints Memorial Medical Center. She was the wife of John J. McAleer, who survives her.
She was born in Concord, NH, on August 29, 1916, a daughter of the late Oscar and Ellen (Lindgren) Lundberg, and was a graduate of the Lowell Public School System.
Mrs. McAleer was a member of the Salvation Army S.A.G.E. Group and the Senior Citizens Club.
Surviving her are three children: John McAleer, of Moreno Valley, CA; Linne McAleer, of Mill Valley, CA; and David, and his wife Darlene McAleer, of Lowell; four grandchildren: Catherine Holly, of Williston, VT; Robert McAleer, of CA; Timothy McAleer, of Lowell and Susan McAleer, of Lowell; four great grandchildren: Margaux, Jessica, Emma and Liam Holly, all of Williston, VT; also several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Margaret Smith, Ruth Syvertson, Florence Lundberg and Lily Dickson.
Her Funeral Mass to be offered Friday, January 10th, at 10:30 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell, to which relatives and friends are invited. At her request, there will be no calling hours. Burial in the Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
