VERNON W. ADAMSVernon W. Adams, 64, of Newton, owner of Vernon Adams Contracting Co., a residential home improvement company, died Sunday Jan. 5, 2003 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton after a long illness.Born in Malden, he had lived in Newton for 36 years.He is survived by his wife Margaret (Kissane) Adams, his children KathleenAdams of Norwood, Vernon W. Adams II of Newton, and Mark Adams of Cambridge and his sisters Agnes Gordon of Newport News VA, and Phyllis Adams of Norwood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Clifton E. Adams.Relatives and friends will gather at the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Thurs. Jan. 9, 2003 at 9:30 AM and proceed to a funeral mass in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Newton at 10:30AM.Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery.
