New Bedford, MA.- Ana Aponte, age 67, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She the mother of Linda Rosado of Auburn, NY., Jaime Rosado of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, William Rosado of New York, NY, and Jose Velez of Seattle, Washington, and the mother of the late Ana Garcia, and Zorayda Rosado. She was the sister of Vidal Velez Pagan, Raul Velez Pagan both of New Bedford, Federico Aponte and Madeline Aponte both of NY, NY. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews.
Ms. Aponte was the daughter of the late Federico and Cecelia (Pagan) Aponte.
She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. She has lived here since 1977
Visiting hours will be on Thursday, November 15th 2007 from 5 - 9 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA. A religious service with Pastor Eva will start at 7:30 P.M.
In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated.
