Robert J. Kennefick, 70 of Madison, New Hampshire and formerly of Franklin died November 9 in his home following a brief illness. He was the husband of Mary Laura ( Leonard ) Kennefick for the past 48 years.
Born in Boston, the son of the late William and Lillian Kennefick, Mr. Kennefick had lived in Franklin for 45 years before retiring to New Hampshire.
Mr. Kennefick had owned and operated Franklin Cash Register for 25 years before retiring.
He served in the Navy and enjoyed golfing and wintering in Miami, Florida.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Kennefick and his wife, Joanna of Franklin, Lani Kennefick of Sag Harbor, NY, Peggy Cromwell and her husband, Denny of Conway, New Hampshire, Mark Kennefick and his wife, Jackie of Telluride, Colorado and Peter Kennefick and his wife, Mary of Walpole.
He is also survived by his brothers, William Kennefick of Weymouth, Joan Penney of Pembroke, Stephen Kennefick of Bryantville, Mass., Kathleen Kelly of Pembroke and Thomas Kennefick of Pembroke. He was the brother of the late Paul Kennefick.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kristin, Andrew, Robert, Luisa, Karl, Jack, Will, and Allison Kennefick and Bart, Duncan and Zachary Cromwell.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, November 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin.
Burial will be private.
