Obituary

WORCESTER- Alex N. Tsiokas, 90, of Worcester, died Thursday, November 8 in the Hermitage Nursing Home. He leaves two brothers, George Tsiokas of Worcester and Theodore Tsiokas of St. Petersburg, FL; four sisters, Sophia Tsiokas, Katherine Nanchu, Thalia McGrath and Helen Pilitsis, all of Worcester; a sister-in-law, June Tsiokas of Worcester, several nephews and nieces and grand nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by five brothers, Stephen, James, Spyridon, Gus and Pericles Tsiokas.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois, son of Nicholas and Marina (Boulios) Tsiokas and was an Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Tsiokas was a professional painter prior to 1978. He retired as a business agent in April, 1978 and later, he was employed as a trust fund manager for the Painter's Local Union #48 from April, 1978 to April, 1982. Mr. Tsiokas was then employed by Trust Funds Trustees, as Fiduciary in April 1982, retiring in March, 1987. He was a 32nd degree Mason.

The funeral service and burial were private. Memorial donations may be made to the Massachusetts Veteran’s Shelter, 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605. CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. directed the arrangements.
