WEBSTER – Lucy M. (Groh) Kelley, 94, formerly of Fifth Avenue, died Saturday, Nov. 10, in Lanessa Nursing Home. Her husband, Thomas P. Kelley, died in 1961.
She leaves nieces and nephews, including her caregivers Roberta and Richard E. Herron, Sr., of Auburn. Her son, Thomas F. “Junior” Kelley, died in 1994. Her 3 brothers and 3 sisters preceded her in death.
She was born in Webster, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Pokraka) Groh, and was a lifelong resident. She attended Bartlett High School.
Mrs. Kelley was a stitcher at Sandlerette Shoe Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of Saint Louis Church and the St. Louis League of Catholic Women.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. A calling period will be from 8:15 to 9:15 AM Tuesday in the funeral home, prior to the Mass. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
