Dorothy Irene (Parker) Anderson, 84, went to heaven on Friday morning November 9, 2007.
Dorothy was born in Andover, Ma. March 3, 1923 to Alice and George Parker. Dorothy grew up in Andover where she attended local schools and graduated from Punchard High School.
Dorothy married the late James Anderson on July 8, 1945 and together they made their home in Andover, Ma., Salem, N.H. and Palm Bay, Fla.
Dorothy’s main interest was to spend time with her family and friends. She will be missed by her son Richard and wife Naeko of Sparta, Ga., son Scott and wife Brenda of Salem, N.H. and daughter Beverly and husband John of Manchester, VT. granddaughters Kelly of Boulder, Co., Jamie of Nantucket, Ma. and Katie of Salem, N.H and grandsons Shawn of San Diego, Ca., James of Sparta, Ga., and Scott of Weaver, Al. and three great-grandchildren Tristan, Madison and Zoe. She will also be dearly missed by her sister Bernice Mckee of Windham, N.H. and many nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine’s Church in Andover at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lawrence, MA
Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Manchester Health Services, Manchester, Vt. or to the Albany Medical Center Nursing Education Fund, Albany, N.Y.
