ACRES- Of Malden, November 9th, Kenneth C. Devoted son of the late Cora (McCarthy) and Malden Alderman Harold R. Acres, Sr. Father of Robert W. Acres of Haverhill. Beloved brother of Frederick Acres of Beverly, Carol Acres of Malden and the late John C., Richard W., Chester S., and Harold R. Acres, Jr. Lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Monday morning, November 12th at 10 AM with he Rev. Martha A. Dominy, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Malden, officiating. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 1-4 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody.
Born in Medford and a life long Malden resident, Kenneth at 76 years of age, passed away at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford, where he had been a member of their skilled care facility for the last 2 years. A graduate of the Everett Vocation High School, for over 30 years, worked as a handler for the United States Post Office at the South Postal Annex in South Boston. A member of the Malden Moose, he was also a City of Everett volunteer firefighter.
