Obituary

Salem: Lorraine M. (Jodoin) Tremblay age 78 of Salem, died Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the NSMC / Salem Hospital. She was the wife of the late Albert A. ‘Pop’ Tremblay.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Josephine (Thibodeau) Jodoin. A life long resident of Salem, she first worked as a seamstress for several local companies. In later years she worked in housekeeping first for the Shaughnessy Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital and later for Jewish Rehabilitation Center in Swampscott. Lorraine was a quiet home person who was especially devoted to her family and was very supportive of her husband in his sports and coaching activities.
She was a member of Ste. Anne Parish of Salem.
She is survived by a son, Wayne P. Tremblay and his wife Christyne of Salem, 2 grandchildren: Joseph & Jessica Tremblay both of Salem, a sister, Eva Viles of Rochester, NH and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 5 brothers: Wilfred, Leo, Romeo, Henry & Albert Jodoin, and 5 sisters: Jeannette Jalbert, Irene Berube, Rose Beaulieu, Helen Wade & Alice Millett.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Tuesday at 8 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Salem at 9 am. Visiting hours: Monday 3 to 6 pm. Burial will be in Ste. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Rehabilitation Center Resident’s Activities Fund, c/o Shirley Kaplan, 330 Paradise Rd., Swampscott, MA 01907.
