Daniel C. Nordeste, age 95 formerly of 108 High St., Somerset. Widower of Irene (Perry) Nordeste. Son of the late John & Mary (Estrella) Nordeste. Passed away Nov. 7, 2007. He was a lifelong resident of Somerset, a member of St. Patrick Church,Somerset, the Village Senior Citizens, Center Senior Citizens Center, Royal Travelers & VFW Post #8500. He was a WWII US Army veteran. Before retiring in 1979, he worked for the Somerset Highway Dept.
He is survived by 1 Beloved Son: Daniel T. Nordeste, Jr. of Somerset. 4 siblings: Edward C. Nordeste, Ann Wilson, Olive Souza & Delores Sousa all of Somerset; 3 grandchildren: Daniel P., Nicole M. & Justin M. Nordeste & several nieces & nephews. He was brother of the late Rose, Alfred C., Manuel C., Frank C. & John C. Nordeste & Mary Vincent.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Saturday at 8 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, Somerset at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours Friday 4-8 P.M.
