She was born on June 26, 1913 in Boston, the daughter of the James F. and Rae F. (Williams) Magee. Bettina was a longtime resident of Needham and had recently been living with her son in Holden Maine for the past three years. She was active with the Steeple Exchange at the Christ Episcopal Church of Needham and the New Century Club also in Needham. She was the mother of Richard D. Thomas of San Francisco CA., Gary J. Thomas and his wife Paula of Holden ME. and the late Robert E. Thomas Jr. She also leaves her grandson Michael R. Thomas of Denver CO. and her brother John Magee and his wife Sandra of Wolfeboro NH. She is also survived by a niece, Donna Riley and her family of Wolfeboro NH.Funeral services were held on Thursday January 2nd at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham. Interment followed at Needham Cemetery. Donations in Bettina’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
