Obituary

LOWELL- Pauline A. Jankevich, 79 years old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, November7th at the home of her sister in Chelmsford.

She was born in Lowell, June 24, 1928, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Culada) Jankevich. She was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1945, where she was a Girl Officer, and Lowell Commercial College.

For over 30 years she was the Office Manager for the Locks & Canals Corporation at the Boott Mills, in Lowell. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph’s Lithuanian Church, in Lowell, where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality. Ms. Jankevich was also a member of the Paint and Powder Club and the Seton Guild.

She is survived by a sister: Anne Airosus, of Chelmsford; a niece: Judith Airosus, of Nashua, NH; two nephews: Robert Airosus, of Boston; and Richard Airosus, of Dracut; two great-nieces: Jillian and Nicole Airosus, both of Dracut; two great-nephews: Eric Airosus, of Dracut, and Michael Airosus, of Acton; and many loving friends.

At her request there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass to be offered on Friday, November 9th, at 9:30 AM at ST. MARGARET’S CHURCH. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association; 20 Speen Street; Framingham, MA 07101-4688.
