DRACUT - Dracut family matriarch, Mary T. (Silva) Pimentel, 91, a longtime Dracut resident died peacefully Monday November 5, 2007, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was the wife of the late Ele Pimentel Sr. and the mother of her special loving son, the late Victor Pimentel.
She was born in Pelham, NH on June 26, 1916, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Sousa) Silva. She received her education in Somerville schools.
Mrs. Pimentel spent her life tending to the needs of her family and home.
She is survived by four sons Richard Pimentel and his wife Mary "Pat" of Salem NH, and Lee "Jr" Pimentel and his wife Sharon, Robert Pimentel, and Edward Pimentel and his wife Nancy, all of Dracut; two daughters Sheila McNulty and her husband Ray, and Debra Vachon and her husband Paul, all of Dracut; twenty nine grandchildren, forty two great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter; eight brothers and seven sisters-in-law; three sisters and a brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Thursday from 3 until 8PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday at 7:45AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9AM at St. Francis Church in Dracut. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
