Fall River - John K. Jackson, 57, of Westport passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, November 4, 2007at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Paula J. (Valois) Jackson.
Born in Fall River, son of Rita (Desrosiers) Jackson of Fall River and the late John M. Jackson, he had lived in Westport for the last 30 years. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Jackson was a co-owner of J & D Builders in Fall River. He enjoyed coaching his children in various sports. Mr. Jackson will always be remembered by friends and family as a constant giver of his time and energy.
Including his wife and mother, he is survived by a son: Scott J. Jackson and his wife Jessica of Mansfield, MA; a daughter: Tracy Lynn Jackson of Boston; 4 sisters: Susan Rioux of Fall River, Linda D’Ambosio of Fall River, Barbara Costa of Fall River and Cindy Mello of Swansea; 2 grandchildren: Nicholas Jackson and Nathan Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, November 9, 2007 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Thursday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
