Obituary

Duncan “Dunc” W. Edes, Jr., 82 years, died unexpectedly November 1, 2007, at his home in Harwich. He was the husband of the late Ethel M. Edes. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, the son of the late Duncan W. and Alta Edes. He was a veteran of WWII who served with the Marine Corps in the Pacific. For over 20 years he was employed by Donnelly Electric & Neon in Boston and retired from IBEW Local 103, Boston. He was a longtime summer resident of Dennisport and winter resident of Harwich. He enjoyed living on Cape Cod and his cat Pepper.

He is survived by two sons James Dolan and his wife Joan of Bridgewater and Thomas Dolan and his wife Linda of Melrose; three grandchildren, Kathleen Moreau of Bridgewater and Timothy and Andrew Dolan of Melrose; five great grandchildren and a sister Barbara Spates of Taunton.

Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 9:30am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:15am. Visiting Hours Monday 3-7pm. Donations in his name may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston/Cape Cod Branch, 3981 Main Street, East Brewster, MA 02631.
