Obituary

Louis J. Marcoux, 84, formerly of Ruth Ave., Manchester, died November 1, 2007 at the NH Veterans Home in Tilton, NH after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Pawtucket, RI, February 10, 1923, and was the son of Joseph L. and Alice (Bury) Marcoux. He had been a Manchester resident for many years.

He retired from the US Air Force in 1966 after serving 26 years as a Chief Master Sergeant. He served during World War II, the Korean Conflict as well as Vietnam.

He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 1, Catholic War Veterans and Sweeney Post.

Mr. Marcoux was predeceased by his first wife, Irene Y. (Boily) Marcoux in 1988.

He was an avid genealogist and also enjoyed repairing antique clocks.

He leaves his wife, Jeannette (Boucher) Marcoux of Manchester; four children, Gregory L. Marcoux and his wife, Annette of Manchester, Sandra L. Marcoux of Manchester, Sharon Davis and her husband, Wayne of Auburn and Robert Marcoux and his wife, Elaine of Bonita CA; three grandchildren, Holly A. Davis, Ryan G. Marcoux and Karyn D. Marcoux, all of Manchester; nieces and nephews.



A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday November 5, 2007 in St. Pius X Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
