WORCESTER: Lima T. "Terry" Oakes, 52, of 91 Sears Island Dr., died Wednesday, October 31, 2007, in UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus, after a long illness.
She leaves her parents, John R. and Mary E. (McLennon) Oakes, with whom she lived; two brothers, John F. Oakes and his wife Lynn of New Hampshire, Thomas F. Oakes and his companion Maryanne O'Toole of Worcester; a sister, Bonnie Joyce Markarian and her husband Nathanial of Worcester; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Terry was born in Worcester, attended Burncoat High School, was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, and lived here all her life. She worked several years as a seamstress for the R. J. Toomey Company on Plantation St.
CALLING HOURS will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, in IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 353 Grove St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
