Marie T. (Ryan) Allen 76, of the Christopher House, 10 Mary Scano Drive died Wednesday (Jan.1) at UMASS Memorial Medical Center Memorial Campus, after an illness.
Her husband of 52 years, William H. Allen died in 2000. She leaves two sons, William G. Allen of Lansing, MI and Douglas C. Allen of Provincetown and four daughters, Marci F. Cannon of Greensboro, NC, Deborah J. Wallace of Holden, Beth A. Keenan of Sutton, and Caroline A. Libby of Townsend, a sister, Irene Kinnear of Worcester, 13 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Harold and Mary F. (Griffin) Ryan. She graduated from Classical High School, Worcester Junior College and Marlboro School of Nursing.
She was a Nurse at Several Worcester area Doctor’s offices, retiring several years ago.She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.
A Funeral will be held Saturday (Jan.4) from Fay Brothers Funeral Home 9 Hammond St. (www.faybrothers.com) with a Mass at 11a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church 555 Pleasant St. Burial will be in Saint John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Saturday (Jan.4) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
