Michael Angel Quintana Sr, 71, a resident of Methuen, MA., passed away on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
Born in Havana, Cuba, Mr. Quintana came to Miami FL. in 1960 and then moved to Cambridge, MA. in 1961. He settled in Methuen in 1966. Mr. Quintana received his Bachelor's Degree from Villanova University in Havana, and then went on to receive his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston.
He had worked at Malden Mills for almost 20 years and then went to work for Quintana Supply for another 15 years. Mr. Quintana had also taught Calculus
and Business Math at Merrimack College. He was a published author having written 2 novels, 1 children's book and 1 book of Spanish poetry. According to his family, Mr. Quintana loved the Theatre Arts, especially the Opera. He also loved history, baseball, playing chess, and poker.

his children: Pilar, Isabel, Michael and Frank Quintana, as well as Carlos Romero and Mabel Romero-Rosado
his grandaughter: Lauryn Quintana
his mother-in-law: Otilia Quintana
his brother: Rafael Quintana of Miami, FL.
as well as several nieces and nephews among whom are Ralph and Richard Quintana
he is also survived by his beloved pets: Qi-Qi and Foo Yung.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence. Cremation will follow at the Linwood Crematory in Haverhill, MA. Family and friends may call on Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
