George H. Nichols, Jr., 69, of Oliver Street in Harmony died Monday, October 29, 2007 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Dorothy A. (Plourde) Nichols.
Born in Providence, a son of the late George H. Nichols, Sr. and Regina Lemire, he lived in Harmony for 40 years.
Mr. Nichols was a toolmaker for the Jewel Case, Inc. in Cranston for 40 years and he was a life member of the Smithfield Sportsman Club.
He is survived by his children, Deborah Lemieux and her husband, Randall of Glocester, Dawn M. Testa and her husband, Daniel of Cranston and George H. Nichols, III and his wife, Linda of Glocester; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Brenden, Kaitlyn, Evan, Amy, Carlin and Eric and a sister, Alice Johnson of Wakefield.
His funeral will be held Friday at 8:30 am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI. Visitation Thursday 4-8pm.
