Dartmouth - Alan W. Paine, 59, of Hancock Street, Dartmouth passed away Saturday, October 27, 2007, unexpectedly at home.
Born in New Bedford, son of Rufus S. Paine, Jr. and Cynthia P. (Johnson) Paine of Dartmouth, he was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. A graduate of Dartmouth High School and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston, he was the owner / operator of Cundall Pharmacy in New Bedford. Mr. Paine was a member of the Smith Mills Congregational Church in Dartmouth, a member of WheresGeorge.com and a former member of the New Bedford Chapter of DeMolay.
Including his parents, he is survived by 2 sons: Daniel A. Paine of Dartmouth and Derrick S. Paine of Westport; a daughter: Erin J. Wood of Dartmouth; a brother: Erik Paine of Dartmouth; 2 sisters: Linda Pierce of Dartmouth and Alison R. Grinwis of Kenneth Square, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at the Potter Funeral Home at 7:30 P.M.
Visitation will be from 5 - 7:30 P.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
