Obituary

Patricia A. Phillips, 82 of Medway died October 29 in the Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Medway, March 16, 1925 the daughter of the late Frank R. and Caroline (Boyes) Phillips, Miss Phillips was a lifelong Medway resident.
She was a 1942 graduate of Medway High School and a 1966 graduate of Boston Trade School.
A Licensed Practical Nurse, she worked at Boston City Hospital from 1966-1973 and for Dr. Donald A. Hillel, Urologist in Milford from 1973-1988.
She was a member of the Medway High School Alumni Association and served as secretary for 11 years.
She was a member of the Milford Whitinsville Regional Hospital Auxiliary, and the Massachusetts Nurses Association, The Sodality of St. Joseph Parish, the Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Joseph of which she was past grand regent, past district deputy, past state chairman of Missions and past grand regents club of Massachusetts.
She also served with numerous other civic and charitable organizations.
In 1960, she received from the late Archbishop Cardinal Richard Cushing, a gold medal award for her outstanding charitable work.
She is survived by several cousins as well as her dear friends, Mr. & Mrs. Albert Bassignani and Mr. & Mrs. Robert Rossetti of Medway.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, November 2 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St., Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St.Joseph Church, Village St., Medway at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
At Patricia’s request, there will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the St. Joseph Parish P.O. Box 557 Medway Ma 02053.
