LOWELL--Stephen R. “Bobby Pappas” Pappaconstantinou, 60 years old, died Tuesday morning at Kindred Hospital in Waltham after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Born in Tewksbury on June 20, 1947, he was a son of the late Charles and Helen (Parevelotis) Pappaconstantinou. He attended Tewksbury Public Schools and lived in Tewksbury until moving to Lowell two years ago.
Prior to his illness Mr. Pappaconstantinou worked for many years at the family owned Paradise Donut Shop in Lowell. He will be best remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and upbeat personality.
He is survived by a daughter and son in law: Melissa and Clifford Gannon of Lowell; a son: Charles Pappaconstantinou, and his companion Nikita “Kita” Gauthier, of Dracut; two grandchildren: Alexa V. Gannon, of Lowell; and Stephen R. Pappaconstantinou, of Dracut; a brother: Peter Pappas of Tewksbury; four sisters: Patricia Pappas of Tewksbury; Pricilla Harmon, of Eliot, ME: Cynthia Pappas, of Jupiter, FL; and Rita Pappas, of Brant Rock, MA; his former wife, Susan (Dayon) Pappas also many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Sotiros Pappaconstantinou, Bessie Shilensky, Agnes Sager, Vasilios Pappaconstantinou and Eufrosyne Dokos.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, October 26th at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Service to be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, October 27th, at the HOLY TRINITY GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, Lewis Street, Lowell.
