Obituary

Mr. Frank Ternullo, 91 of Somerville, died Tuesday in Kindred Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Augusta, Sicily, son of the late Vincent and the late Anna (Greco) Ternullo. He attended local schools. Mr. Ternullo is the husband of Stella (Polonka) Ternullo with whom he shared more than 66 years of marriage. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. For many years he was the captain and owner of the “Anna T.” from which he earned a living as a commercial lobsterman.
He is a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Dorchester. He enjoyed cooking and gardening and also raised homing and racing pigeons.
In addition to his wife, he leaves 2 sons, Vincent Ternullo and his wife Sharon of Londonderry, NH, and Frank C. Ternullo of Brewster. Dear Brother of Helen Bongiovanni and her husband Domenic of Braintree, Sarah Engrassia of Somerville and the late Charles Ternullo and Connie Castro. Cherished grandfather of Lisa Darling and Amy Pearson; Great Grandfather of Hannah Ternullo, Ethan Pearson and Erica Darling. Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD on Saturday at 9am followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with burial in MT. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
