Obituary

WORCESTER-Williamina (Cape) Arnold, 89, formerly of 96 Clover Street died Sunday, December 29th in Quabog on the Common, West Brookfield after an illness. Her husband, Ansel T. Arnold died in 1993. She leaves her son, Bruce W. Arnold of North Brookfield, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and 3 nephews in England. Another son James R. Arnold died in 1981 and her daughter, Jean M. Danforth died in 1974.

She was born in Glasgow, Scotland the daughter of James and Margaret (Dobson) Cape and came to Worcester in 1924. Mrs. Arnold was a member of Hadwen Park Congregational Church and served on its diaconate. She was a member of the Daughters of Scotia, the Montachusett Council 118 Girl Scouts, and was a Sunday school and Bible School teacher at the Trowbridge Memorial Methodist Church. Mrs. Arnold also volunteered for the Worcester Public Schools.

The funeral will be Thursday, January 2nd at 10:00 AM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, January 1st from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hadwen Park Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 6 Clover Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
