Obituary

WORCESTER__Philomena R. (Palumbo) Pacenka, 89 of Worcester died Saturday October 13, in Autumn Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband Joseph J. Pacenko died in 1995.
She leaves two sons, Joseph A. Pacenka and his wife Lu Ann of Holden and James J. Pacenka and his wife Janice of Sutton; a sister, Ann Particivone of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Joseph J., Adam, Matthew, Kimberly, Brendan and Julie and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters, Frank, Joseph, Orlando, Leo, Carmella Argenti and Antoinette Panzera. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Antonio and Leonora (Cirelli) Palumbo and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Pacenka was an assembler for Comfort Products Co. before retiring in the late 1960’s. She also worked for Persons Majestic and Brown Shoe Co. She graduated from Commerce High School. Philomena was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel - St. Ann Church and was also a member of the San Vitaliano Society.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday October 16 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St, with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Entombment will be in St. John’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday October 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
