Obituary

WORCESTER: Kenneth A. "Ken" Tierney, 60, a long time Worcester resident and former resident of Auburn, died Sunday, October 7, 2007, in the home he shared with his best friend and companion of 25 years, Carol A. Milaszewski, after a long illness.
Ken was born in Worcester and raised in Auburn. He graduated from Auburn High School where he played hockey, baseball, and basketball, and was quarterback of the football team for 4 years. He was also a graduate of Nichols College in Dudley, and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He worked as a systems analyst and business consultant for many years. He was an avid reader, a sportsman, and particularly enjoyed fly-fishing and the outdoors.
To honor Ken's life, a MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 7 P.M. on Friday, Oct. 19, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. After being cremated, Ken's ashes will be scattered at the convenience of his family.
The family suggests donations in memory of Ken be made to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608 or to the Massachusetts Audubon Society, 208 South Great Rd., Lincoln, MA 01773.
