Obituary

WEBSTER – Winston S.”Winnie” Kaye, 65, of Lower Gore Rd., died peacefully surrounded by family Wednesday, October 10, 2007, of cancer.

He leaves his wife of 44 years, Marilyn G. (Hare) Kaye; his mother Lois R. (Bohanan) Terry and his stepfather, James Terry of Albany, NY; a sister, Patricia J. Kaye of Milbury; 2 sons, Bradley J. and his wife Teri Kaye of Milford and Jonathan S. and his wife Corinna Kaye of Webster; 4 daughters, Karin E. and her husband Mario Lozano of Uxbridge, Carla R. and her husband Joel Fierro of North Grosvenordale, CT, Angela G. and Bethany J. Kaye, both of Milford; aunts and uncles, Marion and John Elley, Meta Wiback, David Bohanan and Marshall Kaye; twelve grandchildren; nephews nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by a son Daryn D. Kaye in 1984 and a daughter Melody Ann Kaye in 1987.

He was born in Whitinsville on January 7, 1942 the son of the late, Winslow Kaye. He was raised in Sutton and graduated from North High School in Worcester. He moved to Webster in 1963.

Mr. Kaye first worked as a machinist at General Spring and Wire of Oxford for twenty years. He then started his own business K Truckin’ Rubbish Removal, of Oxford which he ran for twenty years. He sold his company to BFI and worked there for nine years. He then worked at his son’s company “Art’s Towing” of Milford as a diesel mechanic, retiring last year due to illness.

Mr. Kaye was a devout Christian and a hard-working family man. He was a fun-loving person, full of humor. He enjoyed playing ping-pong and was an all around sports enthusiast especially baseball. There was no mechanical part he could not recreate. He will be dearly missed.

The funeral will be held Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St. Burial will be in North Cemetery, Oxford. A calling period will be from 9:30 to 11:00 AM Saturday in the funeral home.
