Obituary

William Jackson, 49, of Salem, died early Saturday morning, September 22, 2001, in the Massachusetts General Hosptial, Boston, following a lengthy illness. 

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late George Jr. And Winifred E. (Bend) Jackson.  A lifelong resident of Salem, he attended Salem schools and was a graduate of Salem High School in 1971.

Prior to his retirement in the early 1980’s due to illness, he was employed at Stahl Finishing in Peabody for 10 years.

Mr Jackson is survived by one brother, Stephen Jackson of Salem, two sisters, Gloria and her husband Edward Wilson of Brockton, Sally Jackson of Salem, one niece, Crystal Jackson of Somerville, his little dog “Prince” and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was the brother of the late George Jackson, III.

His funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 26, 2001, at 11 am in the Grace Church In Salem, 385 Essex Street, Salem.

Visiting hours were Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Cardiac Unit, Ellison 8, Mass. General Hospital, 32 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114.
