Obituary









Mr. Phillip A. Otis, 87, of 31 Mountain View Drive, Enfield, NH and formerly of Berlin and Gorham, NH , passed away on Tuesday October 9, 2007 at the NH Veterans Home in Tilton, NH. He was born in Berlin, NH on June 30, 1920 the son of Louis and Alice (Charest) Otis and lived most of his life in Berlin. After his retirement, he wintered in Florida and moved to Enfield with his daughter in 2002. He had been employed by Brown Company and James River Corporation as a store house keeper. Mr. Otis was a member of the Gorham Fire Department, a Life Member of the White Mountain Post # 2520 VFW in Berlin, a member of the Dupont - Holmes Post # 82 American Legion in Gorham, NH and a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree.

Members of the family include one daughter Rosemary Roberts of Enfield, NH; 3 sons Roger Otis of Long Beach, CA, Michael Otis of Sanbornton, NH and Christopher Otis of Berlin, NH; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 2 sisters Claire and Noella; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Delysia (Rainbow) Otis in 1977 and a son Lawrence Otis in 2003.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday October 15, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church in Gorham, NH. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
