John A. Pogonowski, 81, of Indian Trail in Coventry died Monday, October 8, 2007 at Kent County Hospital in Warwick. He was the husband of Dorothy L. (Olney) Pogonowski. They were married for 63 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Aleksander and Julia (Szyjko) Pogonowski, he lived in Coventry for six years, previously living in Providence.
Mr. Pogonowski was a Quality Control Inspector for North Safety retiring in 1994. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed time spent in his garden.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Carol Ann Izzard and her husband, Norman of Greenville and Joan D. Grenga and her husband, Frank of North Providence; four grandchildren, Robert and Russ Reilly, Roxanne Santos and J. Barry Grenga and six great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Stanley Pogonowski and grandfather of the late F. Scott Grenga.
Funeral Service Friday at 11:00am in the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Visitation is on Thursday 4-8 pm.
