Joanne B. (Auch) Krol, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at her home in Charlestown after a very courageous battle with colon cancer. She was 52 years old.
Joanne was born in Boston, she grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1972. Joanne had been working as an aide at several pre-school programs in Charlestown.
Joanne is the beloved wife of Robert D. Krol. She is the devoted mother of Victoria Krol and her fiance Joseph Brienze, Erin, Robert Jr. and Kaitrin Krol all of Charlestown. She is the loving grandmother of Joseph Brienze. She is the beloved sister of Elaine Scadding of Charlestown, Holly Brangiforte of Revere, Barbara Hogan of Winthrop and the late John Auch and Christine Cormican. She is the sister-in-law of Joseph Krol. Joanne is the beloved daughter-in-law of the late Myrtle "Jerry" Krol who passed away on October 4, 2007.
Joanne's Funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 9 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Joanne will be on Tuesday October 9, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
