Rose J. Alcione, died at her home on christmas day, following a lengthy illness, the wife of Frank, she was eighty-four years of age.
Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Olympia (Alexander) and Joseph Bettencourt. Mrs. Alcione devoted herself to raising her family, and in recent years she greatly enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a kitchen aid, working at Harvard University for over 15 years before she retired. Rose and Frank have been Medford residents since 1953.
Surviving in addition to her husband Frank are a daughter Anna Davis and her husband Russell of Maynard and a son Anthony F. Alcione of Medford. Also eight loving grandchildren and thirteen loving great grandchildren. Two sisters Isabelle Branco of Somerville and Anna Jillson of Vt.
Her funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, on Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St. Medford at 11. Services will conclude with burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, PeabodyVisiting Hours Friday 4 thru 8.
