Obituary

WORCESTER: Nellie L. (Simakauskas) Jenewin 87 of 149 Providence St., died December 22, in Saint Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

Her husband of forty-two years Benjamin J. Jenewin died in 1995.

Mrs. Jenewin is survived by three daughters, Mary L. Jenewin-Caplin of Springfield, Elizabeth A. Jenewin of Worcester, a Worcester Telegram Photographer, and Catherine V. Forrester of Murrysville Penn; three brothers, Anthony Simakauskas of Worcester, Vity Simakauskas of Dudley and Edward Simakauskas of Spencer; a sister Lillian Sviklas of Worcester. Another sister Albina Haddad of Worcester predeceased her. Two grandchildren, Andrea Elizabeth Forrester and Timothy Robert Forrester both of Murrysville Penna. Nieces and nephews.Mrs. Jenewin was born in Worcester a daughter of Stephen and Nellie (Cepulis) Simakauskas and lived here all of her life.

Mrs. Jenewin was a longtime member of The Church of The Ascension.She worked as a stitcher for many years in the Worcester area.

The funeral will be held Friday from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 11 am in Ascension Church 40 Vernon St., Worcester.Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Worcester.Friends are invited to call at the funeral home are from 9 to 10:30 am Friday prior to the funeral mass.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Ascension Church Fund 48 Vernon Street Worcester Mass. 01610.
