Annette M. (Cottam) O'Donnell, 71, of Plainville and a former longtime Medway resident, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at her home, following a long illness.
She was the former wife of John F. O'Donnell, who died in 1998.
Born in Somerville, a daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothy (Stone) Cottam, she was raised and educated in Somerville and was a 1955 graduate of Somerville High School.
Mrs. O'Donnell was a retired department manager, having worked many years for the former Bradlees Department Store in Milford.
She was a past president of the Maynard Ladies Auxiliary American Legion, and her hobbies and interests included her grandchildren, travel and baking, especially cheese cakes.
She leaves three sons, William K. O'Donnell of Naples, Italy, Shawn P. O'Donnell of Medway and Kenneth T. O'Donnell of Worcester; five daughters, Christina D. Talamini of Wareham, Trisha I. King of Plainville, Pamela A. O'Donnell of Stow, Darlene S. Gaffney of Mendon and Alicia M. O'Donnell of Wareham; three sisters, Margaret Gorman of Medway, Hazel Evans of Somerville and Marlene Rogers of Andover; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also the sister of the late Clarice Papp.
The funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m., in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin.
Burial will follow in Union Street Cemetery, Franklin.
Calling hours will be Thursday, Oct. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m.
