Marie M. Johnston, 92, of Nashua, NH, died Saturday, September 29, 2007 in the Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua. Mrs. Johnston was born in Medford, MA on January 10, 1915, a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Sullivan) Moseley. She was a former resident of Londonderry, NH for 27 years and Merrimack, NH for 25 years. Mrs. Johnston was the chaplain for the Londonderry Senior Citizens for over 10 years, and was a member of St. Mark's Church in Londonderry. She had also volunteered at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. While living in Merrimack, she was a member of the Merrimack Senior Citizens and the Reeds Ferry Women's Club.
She is survived by two sons, Walter Johnston and his wife Marjorie of Merrimack, and Richard Johnston and his wife Diane of Pittsfield, NH; two daughters, Priscilla Drevo of Olney, MD, and Barbara Applegate of Manchester, NH; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Moseley of Andover, MA; one sister, Lucille Moseley of Arlington, MA; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Edwin Johnston who died in 2003, and one son William Johnston who died in 2000.
Friends called on Tuesday, October 2nd from 6 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, at 10:00am in St. Mark's Church, corner of Mammoth Rd. and South Rd., Londonderry. The burial followed in the Last Rest Cemetery in Merrimack.
