McBirney, Ruth P. (Powers) of Quincy, formerly of Weymouth and So. Boston, died on Christmas Day 2002.
Wife of the late William T. McBirney. Loving mother of William J. McBirney of Ft. Myers, FL, Judith Ann and her husband John Condon of Hanover, John F. McBirney of Weymouth, Ellen M. and her husband Frank McNeice of Andover, Ruth M. and her husband John Crow of Andover.
Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Saturday at 9 AM.
Funeral Mass in Saint Ann's Church, Wollaston at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Saturday from 9 to 10 AM.
Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
Mrs McBirney was an active member of her parish as well as a member of the Merry Shores Club in Quincy. She was born in South Boston and graduated from South Boston High School. Mrs McBirney married her late husband in 1936 and later moved to Weymoutn and Quincy. Besides her family, her interests were gardening and cooking.
