Obituary

LOWELL - William "Henry" Von Kahle, 74, a resident of Lowell, died Wednesday, September 26th in Town and Country Nursing Center.

He was born on May 17, 1933 in Boston the son of the late Herman and the late Marie (Harney) Von Kahle.

Mr. Von Kahle was educated in Dorchester Schools.

He was employed by the Gillette Company until his retirement. Previously he worked for MA/COM in Burlington for 18 years.

Mr. Von Kahle was an avid Red Sox fan and also enjoyed camping and dancing.

He is survived by two daughters, Judith L. Kowalchuk and her husband Richard of Pelham, NH and Kelli A. Alves and her husband Pedro of Dracut; three brothers, James O. Von Kahle and his wife Judy of Bradford, Laurence O. Von Kahle of Lowell and Thomas E. Von Kahle and his wife Robyn of Londonderry, NH; two sisters, Nita M. Roberts and her husband Kenneth of Salem, NH and Norine L. O'Connor and her husband Albert of Tewksbury; his former wife, Ruth E. Von Kahle of Dracut; two grandchildren, Kayla A. Kowalchuk and Kevin J. Kowalchuk; several nephews and nieces; two close friends Karen and Maryellen.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM, with his funeral service to be celebrated at Noon in the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date. Cremation is to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New England Hospice, 190 Old Derby Street, Suite 304, Hingham, MA 02043 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
