Alfred Vasconcellos, Jr., 66, of New Bedford died September 26, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Freetown, the son of the late Alfred and Eva (Gonsalves) Vasconcellos, he lived in Taunton and New Bedford most of his life.
Mr. Vasconcellos was a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his former wife, Patricia (Barbour) Vasconcellos of Taunton; 2 sons, Matthew Vasconcellos, and his wife Stephanie, of Chicago and Alfred Perry of Taunton; 2 daughters, Carrie Sheehan, and her husband Patrick, of Bridgewater and Amy Vasconcellos of Taunton; 3 sisters, Natalie Costa and Geraldine Branco, both of East Freetown and Lydia Dias of Rochester; 2 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late William Vasconcellos.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 28th at 10 AM in the Calvary Pentecostal Church, 33 Braley Rd., East Freetown. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, September 27th from 7-9 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford.
