The late Mr. Robert Earl King son of the late Earl King and Jimmie Mae Ray King was born May 23, 1950 in Madison County, Alabama. He departed this life September 25, 2007 at Huntsville Hospital.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Mrs. Dorothy McCrary April 2, 1969. To this union seven children were born. Two which preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory a wife, Mrs. Dorothy McCrary King; five children: Robert King, Edward King (Sakeena), Jermaine King, Latcaska King, and Kwamsheika King; two special friends: Earline McCrary and Minnie Thompson; mother-in-law, Rose McCrary; three sisters: Delores Matfield, Elaine McCrary and Renetha Pincheon (Howard), all of Huntsville, Alabama; six brothers: Larry King, Kenneth King (Ann), Johnny King (Willie Mae), Leonard King, Tyrone King, all of Huntsville, Alabama and Charles King of Nashville, Tennessee; one daughter-in-law, Sakeena King of Huntsville, Alabama; five sisters-in-law: Ann King, Joyce King, Willie Mae King, all of Huntsville, Alabama, Ann King of Nashville, Tennessee, and Lucy Edward of Memphis, Tennessee; two brothers-in-law: Myron McCrary and Ricky McCrary; one uncle, Octavia King, all of Huntsville, Alabama; five aunts: Pearlie King, Louise King, both of Huntsville, Alabama, Ella B. Collier, Lucille Thomas and Marjoria Anderson, all of Nashville, Tennessee; eighteen grandchildren, eleven nieces, fifteen nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. King will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday from the Flint River Running Water Tabernacle with Pastor Jannie McGee officiating. Interment will be in King Family Cemetery. The remains of Mr. King will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
