Obituary

GORDON K. TEAGUE, age 86, of North Weymouth, died on Friday, Sept. 21st at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Mr. Teague was born in East Hartford, Connecticut and was a lifelong resident of North Weymouth. He was a graduate of Weymouth schools and acheived his Master of Arts in Education at Boston University. Mr. Teague was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific. For 29 years he was a teacher, counselor and psychologist with the Braintree School Department, retiring in 1980.
He also was an actor in television commercials, local community theatre and did advertising modeling. He had many interests and was active in a number of organizations including; lifelong membership at the Pilgrim Congregational Church in No. Weymouth, Orphan's Hope Masonic Lodge of Weymouth, was a seasonal ranger at Acadia National Park in Maine, a member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), a member of Equity Actors Association and for many years was a volunteer at South Shore Hospital.

He was the uncle of Donald C. Teague of Hanson, Robert L. Teague of Lakeville, Douglas E. Hamlin of Randolph and Janice G. Pearson of Weymouth. He was the brother of the late Linwood P. Teague and the late Lendall K. Teague.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Monday, October 1st at 11 AM at the Pilgrim Congregational Church, Athens St., North Weymouth, MA 02191.

Visiting hours and flowers omitted by request. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Pilgrim Congregational Church.

The interment is to be private.
