Mrs. Josephine A. Anderson of Medford died Monday in Halcyon House Hospice in Methuen following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Carl G. Anderson.
Born in Medford, daughter of the late Anelio and Antonette (Leo) Falco, she was raised in Medford and attended local schools. She worked as a cook and preparation chef for several food service companies.
In addition to being very family oriented, she loved the time spent gardening, vegetables were her specialty. She was an avid animal lover and was known as the lady who cooked “for everybody”.
She leaves 2 daughters, Anne Spence of Barre, Elizabeth “Lexa” Holbrook and her husband Bill of Derry, NH; a son Andrew Anderson and his wife Pam of North Andover. Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Loving sister of Philomena Gullifa, Millie Durbeck, John Falco and his wife Donna, Anelio “Pumzy” Falco all of Medford and May Archambault of Saugus. Sister of the late Celia Higgins Al, Joe and Nick Falco. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 8 am followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 9 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 – 8 pm. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford
