Mrs. Lena Tringale 86, of Medford died on Friday in Mass. General Hospital following a brief illness. Wife of the late Vincent J. Tringale.
Born in Boston, daughter of the late Carminantonio and Gaetana (Caruso) Manganiello she is a graduate of the former Girls High School in Boston, class of 1939.
She worked as a secretary for the Commonwealth of MA. In Boston.
Mrs. Tringale loved to shop and was a well know fixture at Filene’s Basement in Downtown Boston. In addition to being very family minded, she loved watching soap operas on television. Mrs. Tringale was a member and communicant of the former St. James Church and the Guild there. She was also a proud member of the Santa Maria Lodge # 1570 in Medford
She is the beloved mother of Domenic Tringale and his wife Lorraine Gardocki of Billerica, Agatha Cardillo of Tewksbury, Patricia Sinopoli and her husband Richard of Tewksbury, Ann Marie Mattola and her husband Armando of Medford and Sandra Monteforte of Medford. Cherished Grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Loving Sister of Anna “Tootsie” Buccieri of Boston’s North End, and the late Gemma Cardillo, Louise Coppola, Mary Polcari and Freddie Manganiello. She will be sadly missed by her beloved cat “Simone”.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford Monday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford at 10 am. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
