Cyril “Mc Gil” Amarelo age 77 of 318 Mac Arthur Ave., Somerset. Husband of Eileen (Paiva) Amarelo. Son of the late Antone & Maria (Sousa)Amarelo. Passed away Sept. 20, 2007. Born in Fall River & a Somerset resident since 1938. He was a Korean Era veteran of the US Marine Corp. He was a 1978 Fitchburg State College graduate, a member of K of C, AmVets, the St. Vincent de Paul Society & member of St. John of God Church. Before retiring, he was a Baker & taught baking in the culinary arts program at Diman Vocational High School.
Besides his Wife of Somerset, he is survived by 2 Sons: David Amarelo of Oak Harbor, WA. & Douglas Amarelo of San Francisco, CA. Two Grandchildren: Jonathan & his wife Mary Amarelo & Katherine Amarelo. He was also brother of the late Gilbert Amarelo.
A funeral mass following cremation will be celebrated in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., Somerset MONDAY at 10 A.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. There are no calling hours.
