Obituary


Mildred “Mille” Arlene (Pollard) Orcutt, 83, September 16th died at her daughter’s home in Pembroke after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Richard N. Orcutt.

Born in Middleboro, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Arlene (Lugi) Pollard.

She was a lifelong resident of East Bridgewater.

Millie graduated from the Brockton Business School, was an avid bowler and was the President of the Go-Getters bowling league in Brockton for many years. During World War II, she supported US efforts at the Hingham Ship Yard as “Rosie the Riveter”. Upon her husband’s return from military service, she dedicated her life to raising her family.

She is survived by her daughters Sheridan Cole of Halifax, Karen White of South Carolina, Stacee , Koch of Colorado, Terri Levesque of Pembroke, her sons , Frank Orcutt of Milton, Rick Orcutt of Abington, Tim Orcutt of New Hampshire; her brother , Burt Pollard of Halifax and her sister Blanche Lutes of Florida. She was the proud grandmother to 17 and great-grandmother to 13.

Her memorial services will be held Saturday, September 22 at 3PM at the United Methodist Church in East Bridgewater. Following the services, there will be a reception to share their memories of Millie with the family.
