Adams, Edward F., Sr, 85 formerly of Somerville, MA died September 17, 2007 in Derry, NH. Born in Worcester, MA on August 11, 1922 the son of the late James and Mary (Cavanaugh) Adams. Served aboard the USS Orestes with the US Navy during WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient. Retired in 1991 from the City of Somerville Sanitation Department. Beloved husband of 65 years to Evelyn A. (Meskell) Adams of Derry, father of four children and their spouses, Lorraine Mosher of Derry, Edward F. Adams, Jr. of Warner, NH, David A. Adams of Medford, MA, Alan T. Adams of Belmont, NH, grandfather of eight, great-grandfather of seven, he also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were Thursday September 20, 2007 from 4 – 8pm in Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral mass was celebrated Friday at 11:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
