Ines (Lopes) Vieira, 102, of New Bedford died December 21, 2002 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the widow of Pedro Santos Vieira and the daughter of the late Isidore and Darina (Dias) Lopes.
Mrs. Vieira was born in Brava, Cape Verde and lived in New Bedford since 1969.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Survivors includea daughter, Maria C. Miranda of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren, Angie Resendes, Gerry Resendes and Lorraine Faria, all of New Bedford and Daniel Faria of Miami, FL; 2 great-grandchildren, Jaianne Castillo and Denzel Resendes, both of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Jose Lopes, Maria Lopes, Candida Lopes, Adeline Lopes, Tiophilo Lopes, Domingo Lopes, Miguel Lopes, Anibal Lopes, Gutruda Lopes, Julio Lopes and Robert Lopes.
