Obituary

Maurice J. Audette, 84, of Londonderry, NH died September 14, 2007 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. He was born in Bristol, CT on May 16, 1923, a son of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Ravnelle) Audette. Raised in Canada, he returned to Connecticut to join the Army during World War II. Following the war, he lived in Connecticut for a brief time and moved to Dracut, MA, where he resided for over 40 years. In 2000 he moved to Londonderry to be near a son. Mr. Audette was employed as a printer by Prince Printing and following his retirement was a bus driver for the Trombley Bus Service of Dracut. He held membership in the Dracut American Legion Post. He was devoted to his family and loved to play cards.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Audette and his wife Laurie of Londonderry and Richard Provost and his wife Marie of Tyngsboro, MA; five grandchildren, Michael K. Audette, Ryan Audette, Chad Provost, Amy Provost and Gayle O’Connell; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Gerard Audette of St. Lose, Que., and a sister, Marguerite Brodeur of Granby, Que. He was predeceased by his wife, Bertha M. (Couture) Audette who died in 1998.

There were no calling hours. Following cremation, a Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 19th at 1:00pm in St. Mark’s Church, corner of South Rd. and Mammoth Rd. in Londonderry. Urn burial will be in the Richardson Cemetery, Dracut MA at a later date.
